Introduction
Your users can be added to Infosec IQ as learners. Learners can then be enrolled in security awareness training campaigns. There are three ways to add learners to Infosec IQ: manually, by importing a CSV file, or by syncing learners from another source such as Active Directory.
This article covers learner management features found within the Infosec IQ admin portal under Learners > Learner List. For more information about learner sync, see Learner Sync and Automation.
Add an Individual Learner
The only information required to create an Infosec IQ learner is first name, last name, and email address. Additional information can optionally be provided, but no other fields are required.
Follow these steps to create an individual learner:
- Click on the New Learner button
- Enter information in the Learner Information section. The only required fields are First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. All other information is optional.
- Optional: Add the learner to groups. The learner will be added to groups in the Selected Groups column. Dynamic Groups will not be displayed during this step, as learners are automatically assigned to Dynamic Groups based on learner attributes (for more information, see Managing Groups). All learners are automatically added to the All Learners group.
- Click Save.
Find a Specific Learner
From the learner list, navigate pages of learners using the arrows. You can search for a specific learner by typing part of their name or email address into the search field.

Delete an Individual Learner

Note: Deleting a learner will remove all of their reporting data and training history. Learner deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete Learners using Dynamic Filters
Dynamic filters allow mass learner deletions based on common attributes, for example you could delete all learners in the same department. Follow these steps to use dynamic filters:
- Navigate to Learners > Delete Learners.
- Select Delete from the drop-down.
- Select Learners via Dynamic Filters (you can also delete learners individually from this page).
- Select Filter Relationships to control how multiple filters interact. Selecting “And” means that all conditions must be met, while selecting “Or” means that any condition can be met.
- Add at least one filter by selecting options for Field, Operator, and Values, then click the + button. Multiple filters can be added, and unwanted filters can be removed by clicking the X next to an added filter.
- Click Process Learner Preview and confirm the results. Learners will appear in the learner preview if they match the filter conditions.
Note: You must press the Process Learner Preview button after adding/removing Selected Filters or changing Filter Relationships.
- Click the Apply button to remove selected learners from Infosec IQ.
The Learner Timeline
The learner timeline displays information about behavior within the Infosec IQ platform. New events will be added to the timeline whenever a learner completes an AwareEd course, reports a PhishSim email, or participates in other training activities. You can also see various statistics about the learner’s overall activity within Infosec IQ.
From the learner list, click the Learner Profile Button.
In the profile you will see information specific to the learner, including a timeline of events, training statistics, and a letter grade. The Learner Profile page also displays PhishSim and AwareEd statistics for the learner. For more information, see Learner Profile.
